History
Ignix is a French name associated with gas-filled rectifiers for radio equipment. Type 10 appeared in 1931, an argon full-wave rectifier. Its purpose was to convert alternating current into unidirectional current through gas conduction: a power-supply function, distinct from amplification of the radio signal.
In 1933 Société Ignix used 36 rue Fontaine-de-la-Ville in Nice. Type 155 is also associated with the brand. These details locate products and commercial presence, but do not establish a founding year or factory location. A corporate relationship with Ferrix is not established and does not justify treating the two names as one company.
