Mechanical dimensions

All linear dimensions are in millimetres and describe the valve base and its pins. They are not socket-hole diameters.

The pin circle passes through the pin centres. Pin spacing is the straight-line distance between adjacent centres. ≈ denotes a value calculated from nominal geometry; ± denotes a tolerance, parentheses show limits and ≤ denotes a maximum.

In depth

The 5000B family used by 152TH and 152TL has four lower contacts in a rectangle. Side or top connectors are separate valve connections and do not increase the lower socket-position count.

Johnson socket 124-213 was specified for 152TH in 1965. Both 152TH and 152TL use base 5000B: the lower layout and specified receiver define the mechanical grouping, rather than electrical equivalence alone.

This construction remains separate from large four-pin bayonet bases and other Eimac products. Male-pin dimensions are not female-hole tolerances; external connection selection requires the specific valve data.

The four 5000B pins are 6.3246 ±0.0508 mm in diameter. Their centre rectangle is 20.6375 mm horizontally and 17.4625 mm vertically; terminal length is 16.271875–17.065625 mm.

The base body is 22.225 mm high with a maximum diameter of 45.24375 mm. These dimensions belong to male construction 5000B, not the inside diameters of Johnson 124-213 spring contacts.

The four bottom terminals carry the filament in two pairs; grid and anode have separate connections. Four filament pins are therefore an interface characteristic, while the triode’s electrode count differs from the number of lower socket positions.
