10DE7 tube: datasheets and technical data

Explore available pinout, electrical data and related types for the 10DE7 vacuum tube.

2 PDF datasheets available

The 10DE7 is a nine-pin miniature twin triode with two deliberately different sections, designed for television vertical deflection. Sylvania and Tung-Sol assign the first, medium-gain triode the role of oscillator; the second, with lower gain and greater current capability, amplifies the signal for the vertical output stage. The heater operates at 9.7 V and 0.6 A; its controlled warm-up time favours use in series heater strings. The 6DE7 and 13DE7 belong to the same family but require different heater supplies.

At Sylvania's test points, the first section at 250 V plate voltage draws about 5.5 mA, with an amplification factor of 17.5 and transconductance of 2 mA/V; the second, at 150 V, draws about 35 mA, with an amplification factor of 6 and transconductance of 6.5 mA/V. These are characteristics of distinct sections, not interchangeable values. For use as a vertical amplifier, the data sheet specifies 7 W maximum plate dissipation for the second section and permits a 1,500 V positive plate peak only under the specified pulsed conditions. A replacement therefore requires checking the pinout, heater string and stage stresses, without treating the peak as an allowable continuous voltage.

How to search the tube archive

Enter the full tube type number, such as EL84, ECC83, 12AX7, 6L6GC or 300B, to find available variants, manufacturers and documents. Exact matching helps distinguish similar types and locate the right technical information.

PDF datasheets and popular tube types

Popular searches lead to individual tube pages with the available datasheets and reference material. They offer a starting point for exploring the tubes used in vintage radios and tube amplifiers.
